October 23 - 27, 2006
Housing Affordability Week is an opportunity for the Housing Affordability Partnership to generate awarness of the complex issues involved in housing affordability for the Capital Region. Housing Affordability Week 2006 will highlight how the community agencies from many sectors (public - private - non profit) are working together to collaboratively address the issues of Housing Affordability in the region.
The Housing Affordability Partnership partnered with The Black Press to create and circulate a three page insert that was included in all of their papers on October 20, 2006. This insert highlighed the Housing Affordability Week events, outlined the issues related to Housing Affordability in the Capital Region and compiled a list of projects and programs created by community agencies. Links to this information are below.
For Housing Affordabiliy Week 2006, 6 Municipalities demonstrated their support for the principles and goals of the Housing Affordability Partnership by proclaiming October 23 - 27, 2006 as Housing Affordability Week. We would like to thank the District of Highlands, the City of Langford, the District of Saanich, the Town of Sidney, the City of Victoria and the Town of View Royal for their support in this important initiative.
